We would like to give a special shout out to those with mental health disorders that went to vote today. Despite what you guys are going through, you still went to cast your vote being a responsible member of society Alhamdulillah. Only those that understand knows how hard this was and that in itself is a victory❤️ On behalf of MIASA, we would like to say that no matter who wins, our hope is that mental health will be taken seriously and will be on the national health agenda, hence be given the allocation it desperately needs and the attention that is long overdue; this illness that is affecting 1 in 5 ppl across the globe and the brutal truth is that the illness will cripple you, if it is left untreated and unsupported. We do have high hopes that mental health will soon get the attention it needs and requires. We don’t mind doing the work together with the other NGOs etc but we can’t do it alone. We need the help. We need the support and we need the funds. Mental illness is serious. Awareness and support must be happen. It must exist. Together, can only the change happen. Mental illness patients must be treated the same as patients with physical illness. Mental illness patients deserves the same chance as any other person. Let’s end the discrimination, stigma and inequality. #everyonematters #journeytorecovery #mentalhealthawareness #mentalillnessawareness #Alhamdulillah #breakthestigma #miasa #miasamalaysia – #regrann
